Hey Kids, Erick here!!! Allow me to tell you a little about myself...

I am married, and I grew up here in Des Moines. I graduated from North High School in 1987, although I have split my time from then until now between the Midwest and the West Coast. I have written and sung music as long as I can remember. I worked as a traveling DJ and Karaoke Jock for King Karaoke back in the early '90s, and as a producer for several radio shows both in Iowa and Northern California. I was a disc jockey for the 7440 Club in Citrus Heights, California, and Billy Joe's Pitcher Show in West Des Moines, both in 1992 and recently. I have done DJ and production work for most of my adult life, and now bring to you my vision, E.D.J.E. Productions.

Helping my customers realize their dream--not mine--for their event is the center point of my business. All my clients appreciate my attention to detail and my insistence that they be instrumental in planning the show. Most of them didn't think they could until they did!

When I first started the company, and was trying to determine what my fee would be for this service or for that package, I realized one important thing almost immediately as I looked at the "packages" my soon-to-be competitors offered: I have all that stuff!

When it's all said and done, we are all just a lot of really talented guys with a whole bunch of music and some real big stereos. Some of us have really pretty lights and fog machines. But we all do the same thing--play great music and keep the party moving, and people out on the floor dancing. So what is the deal with set-up, tear-down, travel, cordless microphones, karaoke, lighting, extra speakers, sales tax, or insurance being an extra charge added to the "basic" fee? I just didn't get it. We already own the toys, why not share with the class? I decided then and there that I would not charge for my toys. Everything I have, you get. Period. And I have some pretty cool toys!

And then I saw the rates some companies charge for overtime. I'm the kind of guy that is probably having just as much fun as you are at your party. So I'm leaving it all set up till you are done. And we all party until the party is over. I promise never to charge any client one cent for overtime. Ever.
